BALANCE

This distinctive letter scale is a design made by the Italian Sergio Carpani. The model is named Sergio Balance. The scale was produced by the Japanese firm Wakita Hi-Tecs. The scale is goodlooking, slender and slim. The symmetry of the parallelogram is made clearly visible. The base and the plate are identical, this results in an effective (false)-symmetry. Another nice aspect is, this scale does not have a back-side. The usability as a letter scale is limited. The range is 500 grams. Several color combinations exist. The scale was sold until 1992.
