At the packing is printed as the maker: Diversified Scale Company, Inc., Tempe, Arizona, U.S.A. Molded at the back of the scale itself is the maker's name: Balancing Act, Tempe, Ariz. U.S.A. The scale has four possible charts: metric 1 - 500 grams; Avoirdupois 1/32 oz. till 17! oz.; rates for 1st, 2nd en 3rd class mail up to 1 Lbs.; Troy from 1 till 16 troy ounces. The selected chart can be shifted into place easily. The scale has a turn-over counterweight. The scale is made of polymer mostly. The pivots are running on beryllium-copper. The flat plastic plate is easy to take off and could be replaced by a bowl, which is to be ordered separately. It's an old Euopean letter scale design manufactured the American way in modern materials. Below some more pictures of this letter scale.
