kitchen scale | This kitchen scale is a balance with a fixed weight at one end, and a measure bowl at the other end. Weighing in grams is done by shifting the slider in such a way that the air bubble of the built-in spirit-level remains in the middle of the peep window. When the scale is unbalanced, it rolls to the left or to the right. Balancing is not quick or handy to do. The range of this specimen is 125 grams. the scale was sold with different trade names: Dr.Oetker, Hilfix 777, and NilsJohan Gramvågen Lillan. Models with a higher capacity exist: 500gram / 17oz. Also different colors are known, light blue in stead of black. At the bottom of the beam are molded into the surface: the name "plus minus", "-DBGM" and "made in Germany". DBGM is the abbreviation of Deutsches Bundes Gebrauchs- |
Muster, a cheaper and more simple patent, the successor of the old D.R.G.M. the Deutsches Reich GebrauchsMuster. Below some more pictures of this rolling kitchen scale.
