little pocket scale

This is a little old German pocket scale with the mark Stephanus. It has the abbreviation D.R.G.M. This is short for Deutsches Reich Gebrauchs-Muster. This was a model registration, quicker granted and cheaper than a patent registration. I still don't know whether or not a D.R.G.M. really was granted. Also engraved is: Briefwage, still written with one character a. Notable is the lacking of the value zero, the chart starts at ten grams. The maximum value at the chart is twenty grams. In the range every gram has a stripe. The rectangled part measures 23 x 42 millimetres. Below some more pictures of this remarkably small, hand-held scale.
