letter scale

In the frame of this scale is molded: A.V.A.B.O.. I don't know the meaning of this abbreviation. This letter scale was made in the Netherlands, the box states: "de volmaakte Nederlandse briefweger". This is Dutch meaning: "the perfect Dutch letter scale". The frame and the mechanism are almost completely made in aluminum. The scale has two indicators or pointers, one for each range. With raised pendulum, the range is 250 grams. Each gram has it's stripe of measure. This is really too much. With lowered pendulum, the ranges is 1000 grams. Per five grams a stripe of measure is given. In the enamel chart is written: niet voor handelsdoeleinden. This is Dutch meaning: not to be used for trade, Below some more pictures of this letter scale.
