The chart of 100 grams shows a stripe for every gram. The chart also has the concav logo of Maul. The vertical brass strip has the logo of Ph.J. Maul. The horizontal strip shows a Dutch text at the upper edge: BESTEMD VOOR HUISHOUDELIJK GEBRUIK. Under this is an Indonesian text: TIDA BOLEH PAKE BOEAT DAGANGAN. Both lines probably mean the same: INTENDED FOR DOMESTIC USE. This scale most probably was made for the Dutch Indies. The plate has a lowering, cylindrical of shape. In old catalogs this is described as a W-shaped plate. It's purpose is to simplify the weighing of rolls. Below some more pictures of this letter scale.
