This set, existing of a letter scale and a letter opener, is a business present, a promotional article from Honeywell. Weighing a letter is done by drawing the white part out until an equilibrium is reached. In this position one reads the chart. The chart is given in ounces and in grams. The designer forgot the fact that European postal weight limits in grams, are not corresponding with the American weight limits in ounces.
