Hanson postal scale

This Hanson postal scale was made to last. The chart and indicator are protected behind a glass window. The plate is made from thick folded brass plate. The bottom of the scale still carries an original warranty sticker. The spring of the scale is guaranteed for life. The scale has an -probably- individual number: A 2190. The weighing capacity is five pounds, the chart is subdivided per half ounce. The rate of 2c for letters was valid from July 1 1919 until July 6 1932. In Equilibrium 2004 no. 3 on pages 2952-2955, Stan Hanssen starts a series of articles about the Hanson Scale Company. Below some more pictures of this postal scale.
