This handsome transparent letter scale was made by Steinhorst Acrylglasverarbeitung GmbH from Betzdorf in Germany. The design is protected by a model registration, a Gebrauchsmuster with the number DE9214259. It was applied for October 22 1992 and granted December 10 1992. The registration was published January 28 1993. The firm Steinhorst kindly supplied me the following details: this letter scale was produced till 1996, two versions were produced. A version with silver colored metal parts, as shown here, had the article number 1490 and was sold for DM 158,80 (= 80,54 euro). The second version with gold colored metal parts had article number 1491. It was slightly more expensive. Below some more pictures of this beautiful letter scale.
