KRAT

This somewhat odd looking scale has the mark Krat, it was made in Germany. Above 20 grams the chart is subdivided per five grams. Up to 20 grams a stripe of measure is given for each 2½ grams. The saucer and the base are casted in aluminum. The saucer is attached to the mechanism by a pin. Only a part of the mechanism is magnetic. A stiffening rib is pressed into the strips of the mechanism. The material of one strip has a tear caused by an excessive tension during this pressforming. The parts are painted gold and silver. The chart of the scale shows the trade name KRAT above a goodlooking logo. The text made in Germany is added. Below some more pictures of this letter scale.
