two Hoopee rolling scales

This rolling letter scale named HOOPEE, is a design of Johannes Geyer from Germany. In 1988 the design was protected by a Gebrauchsmuster DE8806495. In 1992 this design received a seal of the Industrial Design Forum of Hannover. The letter scale is made of aluminum. A little steel ball is locked into the groove. The chart is reduced to three values: 0, 20 and 50. Placing a letter in the end-groove, will result in a rolling action of the scale towards a new equilibrium position. At the new lowest position the steel ball will indicate the value at the chart. It is typical design: it's pleasing the eyes, but very limited in use. Below some more pictures of this letter scale.
