Postillon letter scale

The Postillon is a hand held letter scale made by the German firm BSF, the Bremer SilberwarenFabrik. This company existed independently from 1905 till 1981. The design is an old-fashioned post-horn used by mail couriers in the past and today it is depicted in the logo of the German Mail. The capacity is sixty grams, per five grams a stripe of measure is given. Several versions exist: polished brass, and a 24 carats hard gilded one. Several packings exist: a hinged cardboard box with green plush interior, and a modern plastic box with a transparent cover and a red plastic interior. Below some more pictures of this letter scale.
