letter scale | This letter scale is of French origin. A logo with the capitals E and M is at the front. The capacity is typical for French letter scales, namely 350 grams. The chart is subdivided per five grams and is easy to read. The letter scale is resting on three feet, of which two are fixed. The third foot is a long adjusting screw by which the scale on top of the housing can be adjusted to zero. At the back is a screw to lock the mechanism during transport of the scale. The aluminum plate has a cylindrical part. Letter scale in French is pèse-lettre. The housing is made of bakelite. Besides this black version, also a dark red version exists.
