This handheld letter balance is made by Bex Moulding from England. It is green bakelite. The weighing capacity is 4 ounces. The scale has a pointer. When the weighing bar rocks away from the pointer, the letter is heavier than the value indicated by the pointer. The weighing bar is shiftable towards, or away from, the pointer. The bar has stripes of measure per half ounce. The figures 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4 are on both long sides of the bar. LETTER BALANCE is written at one side.
