Ph.J. Maul letter scale

This is an original Columbus bilateral made by Philipp Jakob Maul from Hamburg, Germany. This scale has a striking double-lined logo at the front. This scale strongly resembles the columbus bilateral and the original columbus bilateral. The charts of this postal scale go up to 50 and 250 grams. The lower chart has a stripe of measure per each gram, that is far too dense. On top of the slightly curved plate a Dutch text is stamped: NIET VOOR HANDELSDOELEINDEN, meaning NOT TO BE USED FOR TRADE. All parts of this scale are magnetical. Below some more pictures of this letter scale.
