letter scale, unknown maker
letter scale made in France

This letter scale is made in France. Exactly when and by whom, I do not know. This letter scale model can be found on images in French catalogs around 1920. Until when the letter scale was made is unknown to me. This scale has a weighing range up to 200 grams. The scale is subdivided per five grams. A mark lacks at 35, 55, 65, 85 and 95 grams. Above 100 grams there is a subdivision per ten grams, excluding an additional mark at 105 grams. There are versions with ranges of 100 grams, 200 grams, 300 grams and 350 grams.
To show that with time, with patience, with a lot of cleaning and with polishing a considerable improvement in appearance can be achieved, below are some photos placed of before and after an extensive refurbishment.
