This little letter scale is mounted on a square glass plate. The glass edge is finished with a brass rim. I don't know the exact date of this little letter scale. This letter scale design is already shown in the catalogs of Philipp Jakob Maul from 1909 and 1912. Also the logo on the counterweight is started in the year 1909. The version with the square glass base is not mentioned in these catalogs. The glass plate is cracked. The chart presents a stripe of measure per each gram. The letter scale has the engraving: DÉPOSÉ. So the model or the design of this letter scale was protected, or registered. I don't know a proof of this in writing.
