This letter scale has the logo of Sachsenmeister at the scale. Searching the web reveals the full name of the firm is Sachsenmeister Metallbau founded in 1947 by Kurt Müller in Markneukirchen. The firm went into VEB Feinmechanik Markneukirchen in 1973 and all activities stopped in 1989, at the same time with the ending of the GDR (East Germany). The company is mainly known and renowned as a producer of steam toys. The aluminum scale part has a stripe each five grams. The scale goes up to 250 grams.
