letter scale, France | This letter scale originated from France. It is made of UGINOX, a stainless steel with an electrolytically applied thin layer of tin. The scale is a promotional article for Fleury Michon, which is a major food supplier in France. The 100 grams scale has a stripe of measure per five grams. And per ten grams, the value is indicated in figures. The scale has a few notable features and is made of high quality material. The letter clip is graceful formed of spring steel and hangs on a sphere. In order to prevent slipping of the letter to be weighed, there is even a small strip of abrasive paper pasted on an inner side of the letter clip. The box-like housing of the letter scale is bulky and amply dimensioned, also the screws are large. The cover part has sharp edges. While weighing the pointer drags over the house, which is a pity. | back of the scale |
