Bizerba letter scale | This 8.6 kilos heavy letter scale also was not intended for domestic use but was intended for use in German post offices and for use in mail rooms of larger companies. The mechanism of this letter scale is compact and complex. Put the mail item on the top plate and the pointer moves to the right. When it weighs more than 100 grams, swith to the next weighing range of 100-200 grams by pressing down the lower button [with the arrow] and shifting it to the right, repeat this step by step until the pointer moves in a range to the left and holds at an intermediate value. There are ten positions for this lower button. For scale values above 1000 grams one must rotate the triangular knob. The scale has twenty weighing zones of 100 grams and weighs per gram from zero to 2000 grams. | back of the scale |
