French letter scale | Although this letter scale has no logo or brand it undoubtely comes from France. The scale is entirely of brass. On the bottom of the casted base is the number 56. The scale of 200 grams has a few distinct features. Per ten grams the measured values are in capital numbers. Moreover the measure values 5, 15, 25, 45, 75, and 105 are indicated in lowercase characters. I have not seen these latter values on another letter scale yet. An indication of the unit of measure is completely absent. This is the case with more French postal scales. | back of the letter scale |
