letter scale on triangular foot

This letter scale has a widely applied mechanism. It is undeniably made in Germany. Special is the triangular composite brass foot. The letter scale has no brand, name or logo. Only on a strip of the mechanism is the word DÉPOSÉ, This indicates the design -or the model- was registered. The scale of 100 grams has a stripe of measurement per each gram. The value 15 grams is indicated seperately. In Germany the weight limit for inland letter mail was changed from 15 to 20 grams already per April 1, 1900. The 15 grams weight limit was only definitively abolished internationally in the world postal treaty of January 1, 1922.
