MELIUS

This letter scale has the brand name Melius. The scale was made by the firm Konrad Burg Apparatebau, from Vienna in Austria. I don't know the production period. I have not found the patent application. The 250 grams scale has a stripe of measure per each two grams. At the values 5 grams, 15 grams and so forth there is a dot on the scale. This Melius has an aluminum base. The movement mechanism is partly performed double. A tightly wound wire spring is inserted between the strip parts as a spacer sleeve over the axles. This is characteristic of the Melius.
There exists also a version with two weighing ranges: 300 grams and 1000 grams. With a turn-over weight one switches between weighing ranges.
