![]() letter scale with symmetrical curl | This letter scale stands out because of the double symmetrical curl in the frame. With the foldable counterweight the scale has two weighing ranges: 50 grams and 250 grams. The subdivision is per gram and per five grams. I only saw this letter scale on a photo in a Stiebel catalog from 1925. On a page entitled "Stiebel's Briefwagen". Further information about this company is lacking for the time being. I have another one with the ranges 85 grams and 350 grams, see the photos at the bottom of this page. That 85 grams is rather strange, that 350 grams is a weighing range for use in France. | ![]() back of the scale |
