letter scale with spherical counterweight

This is a fairly old letter scale from Germany. The maker is unknown to me. There is no brand or logo on the letter scale. There is number 13 on the back of the scale and the pendulum arm. Above the GRM indication for the scale on the left is the number 1. The 250 grams scale has a stripe of measurement per five grams. The value 15 is marked with numbers, otherwise only 0, 50, 100, 150, 200, and 250. In Germany, the rate limit of 15 was already changed into 20 grams for inland mail from April 1, 1900 onwards. The 15 gram limit value was only finally abolished internationally in the Universal Postal Convention of January 1, 1922.
The scale has a sturdy cast-iron tripod with a zero set screw. The stand, the screws, and the spherical counterweight are also made of magnetic iron. The remaining parts are made of brass. The disappeared original letter plate has been replaced by a suitable brass plate. The pointer's tip was broken off and gone, the pointer is bent slightly upwards and functions again.
This letter scale can be found in old catalogs. The oldest is the August Sauter 1904 catalog. Later this letter scale is also in the Janke & Kunkel catalog from around 1910.
Below some more images of this letter scale with a spherical counterweight.
