Narcisse Briais balance letter scale

This balance was made by Narcisse Briais from Paris in France. The wooden base is remarkably large and probably not original. This letter scale has five weights that lie well in the recessed holes. The weights are 100, 50, 15, 10 and 5 grams. Probably gathered together randomly. Partly in grams and in grammes. The N.B. logo of Narcisse Briais is on the oval letter plate. You can read more about Briais and his successors at this letter scale page.
