partly silver-plated letter scale, France

This letter scale comes from France. The parts are a strange combination. The dial is silver-plated or perhaps completely silver. The other parts such as the letter tray and the separate rectangular base with four round legs and decorative frame are made of brass. The base on which the scale upright is mounted is made of glass. The weighing range is 60 grams, the scale is subdivided per 5 grams. The unit of measure grams is not on the dial.
A few photos show the condition of the scale upon purchase: a completely blackened dial.
The dimensions: the dial is 78.5 millimeters round, the letter plate is around 63 millimeters. The fence is 104 x 72 millimeters, the feet stick out a bit. The scale is 170 millimeters high. The scale is quite heavy due to the glass base, namely 574 grams.
Below some more pictures of this strange beautiful letter scale.
