REFORM

This egg scale was made by Broedmachinefabriek „Reform”, G.J. Pas, from Zeddam, in the Netherlands. The scale of 40 to 90 grams has a division per five grams and per gram. The scale is easy to read due to its dimensions and the bright yellow color and the black lines. When weighing an egg, it is advisable to manually steer the double curved end of the egg holder arm, because due to the beautifully designed bearing with conical pointed shaft ends and the lack of a motion damper, it otherwise takes a very long time to come to a standstill, and only then can the scale be properly read. The egg scale has an indicator arm to check the vertical position. One of the legs of the upright has an adjustment screw to adjust the position.
This egg scale has an incomplete round sticker with the brand name Reform on it. On another specimen I saw a metal nameplate attached with two rivets with the text Broedmachinefabriek „Reform”,  G.J. Pas, Zeddam. Another specimen had a simple rectangular sticker with the text: Reform Zeddam.
This egg scale is 44.5 cm high and the yellow part is 27 cm wide.
The company still exists under the name Pas Reform and nowadays makes high-quality incubators.
