According to an article in Mass und Gewicht Nr. 83, September 2007, by Hartmut Mollat with the title Wie alt sind die Geräte von Louis Schopper aus Leipzig? Louis Schopper numbered his products consecutively. Based on the number 39178 on this paper scale, this scale comes from the period 1939 - 1942. Paper scales were already made around 1904 by Louis Schopper. Those models with type number 372 differ in details from the paper scale shown here, see also at the bottom of this page.
