This precision scale was made by Gottlieb Kern & Sohn, from Ebingen in Germany. The scale has a maximum range of 301 grams. Without or with suspension of the movable weight, the weighing ranges are 101, 201 and 301 grams. The accuracy is 0.01 grams. The scale has a magnetic damping, which means that the weighing beam comes faster to an end position. The scale housing, dish and suspension bracket are made of plastic. The weighing beam is made of aluminum. The height is 23.5 cm. The width and largest length are 14 and 34 cm. This weighing beam can be read on both sides. At the bottom of the scale bracket is a compartment with balls with which the scale is calibrated. This precision scale is mentioned in the Kern catalogs from 1976 to 2006.
