strange model letter scale

The maker of this letter scale is most likely Wagenfabrik A. Dresdner from Merseburg am Saale in Germany. I found a review of the letter scale in issue 61 of the Papierzeitung from 1909 on page 2394. There were various versions possible, with a choice of materials and scale divisions. In 1909 and 1910 this letter scale was advertised, see bottom of this page.
On the scale is the German spelling GRAMM, and on the letter plate it says D.R.G.M., which is the abbreviation for Deutsches Reich Gebrauchs Muster. This is a design protection more readily available and cheaper than a patent. The advertisements mention D.R.G.M. No. 369588, I haven't found it yet.
The scale has a stripe for each gram from zero to one hundred grams. From one hundred to two hundred and fifty there is a stripe per five grams. This is a strange model letter scale. The aluminum letter tray is remarkably long and narrow. Earlier I saw a photo of this scale model equipped with a suspension eye hanging from a loose stand. The weighing plate of it has a series of upright bars, see the photo on this page. According to the accompanying text it would be a wig scale. I have also seen the shape and material of the counterweight of this letter scale applied to another letter scale. I have also come across the three-legged scale foot on another letter scale, see the photos below.
The height of this letter scale is 30.5 cm. The letter tray measures 14.0 x 6.0 cm.
Below are some more images of this strange rare letter scale by A. Dresdner.
