letter scale | I do not know who made this letter scale. The scale probably comes from Germany. The letter scale stands on a gracefully curled foot. This decorative foot model has already been shown at another letter scale, see here. Both scales are at the bottom of this page. The combination of the counterweight with the oval reading window is very special. The weighing range is 250 grams. Up to 125 grams, each gram has a stripe of measure. Above that, there is a stripe of measure per five grams. The 125 grams was a postage limit in Sweden. This letter scale came with a rectangular letter tray, which did not seem the right shape to me. I therefore replaced the plateau with a homemade round one. | back of the letter scale |
