letter scale on decorative base

This letter scale is old. You can tell by the position of the counterweight under the scale. The construction of the main pivot from several parts is also a characteristic of old versions. This letter scale has a remarkably shiny, non-magnetic decorative base, which may have been fire-gilded. In the decorated top surface of the adjusting screw, a carrier pigeon is depicted with an envelope in the beak. The indicated unit of measure is Gramm, the scale goes up to 250 grams. The numbers on the scale are limited to 0, 15, 50, 100, 150, 200 and 250. There is a stripe for every five grams, and for every ten grams the stripe is long. The height of the scale is 25.5 cm, the foot measures 10.0 x 10.5 cm and the diameter of the letter plateau is 7.1 cm.
