Salter No. 11A letter scale for airmail | This letter scale is specially designed for airmail. The scale was made by George Salter & Co. Ltd., West Bromwich, in Staffordshire, England. It's the Salter No. 11A. The design is largely similar to the Salter No. 11, this airmail scale is more sensitive, and the scale body always has its own color blue. This airmail scale was available in two versions. In ounces, subdivided up to 8 ounces per dram (= 223.8 grams per 1.77 grams subdivided) and in grams, subdivided up to 250 grams per 2 grams.
