Ph.J. Maul Convex letter scale | This letter scale was made by Philipp Jakob Maul from Hamburg in Germany. The measuring scale is arranged convex, i.e. arranged convex. Much more used is the concav scale, i.e. the concave scale. The letter plate is less visible in the field of view and hinders the reading of the scale less. The vertical frame part is the same with concav scales, but is of course mirrored horizontally. The letter plate has four slots, where a postage card can be inserted. Such a rate card is easy to exchange in the event of rate changes. I don't have that postage card. This scale goes up to 250 grams and the scale is subdivided per five and ten grams. The height of the scale is 21 cm, the foot measures 15 x 11.2 cm, the letter plate is 7.7 x 9.6 cm. The measurements scale is 16.6 cm wide. | back of the letter scale |
