letter scale from France

This chrome-plated letter scale comes from France. This is evident by the French words and postal rates shown on a plate below the scale. These postal rates were valid from August 9, 1926 to probably July 12, 1937. Below each other there is the domestic letter rate (LETTRES FRANCE), the foreign letter rate (LETTRES ETRANG.), the rate for sending samples (ECHANTILLONS), and the rate for printed matter (IMPRIMES). There is no logo or brand on this letter scale. In the arm of the counterweight is the word: DÉPOSÉ this suggests protection of the design.
The measuring scale up to 100 grams has up to 30 grams a stripe of measure per gram. From 30 to 60 grams there is a stripe per five grams and from 60 to 100 grams per ten grams. The unit of measure gram is not mentioned on the measuring scale. The zero adjustment screw does not seem original but is sufficient.
The scale is 13.5 centimeters high. The base is 9.4 x 5.0 cm. The letter plateau is 6.6 x 4.9 cm.
