Completely made letter scale from France

This special letter scale comes from France. I don't know who the maker is. I bought the incomplete scale on an auction site because two pointing arms were visible in the photo and you rarely see that. I had never seen the wooden base with the concave measuring scale before. This letter scale is probably unique and made by a handy hobbyist.
I have completed the scale again with a few quickly added parts. I first checked the required dimensions with some popsicle sticks. The improvised letter tray is made from the bottom of a Pringles tube. With this letter scale you switch from the low 50 grams range to the higher 350 grams range by bringing the pointer arms together. The spring force of the spring tip of the pointer keeps both pointer arms together. The photos and animations clarify things. The scale base measures 16.1 x 5.8 centimeters, the scale height is 16.5 cm, the diameter of the replacement letter plateau is 7.65 cm.
Below are some more images of this French letter scale from a maker unknown to me.
