Schopper paper scale | Although there is no logo or brand name on this paper scale, it is most likely a paper scale made by Louis Schopper, or else it is a good copy. This paper scale was sold with two pairs of templates in a leather case and was intended for representatives in the paper trade. The model with the leather case is in various Louis Schopper catalogues, including in 1904-1914, in 1924, and in 1926. The scale goes up to 200 grams per square meter. When using the small templates of 3.5 x 7 cm, the scale value to be read can be doubled, so the scale can weigh up to 400 grams per square meter. The scale photographed here has a repaired pointer tip. | back of the scale |
