Ph.J. Maul egg scale

This small, old egg scale is from Philipp Jakob Maul of Hamburg, Germany. Its weighing range is only 75 grams. However, it's not the egg scale with the smallest weighing range, because according to a catalog from the early 1920s, there was also an egg scale with a range of 60 grams. Chicken eggs used to be smaller and lighter.
The egg cup is made of aluminum, the scale frame is black-painted folded sheet steel, the mechanism is also made of magnetic steel and was probably nickel-plated at one time.
The base measures 8.5 x 6.0 centimeters, and the largest diameter of the egg cup is 4.7 cm. The internal diameter of the egg cup is 4.0 cm. The weighing height is 15.5 cm.
Below are some more pictures of this old small egg scale by Ph.J. Maul.
