letter scale | This big stately nickel-plated letter scale is made by Philipp Jakob Maul. The standard is iron, the tripod is cast iron. The chart is tin. The indicator of this scale is a strip, attached at both ends. The frame is identical with the frame of the scale shown earlier under large letter scale. The range of the letter scale is 500 grams. The old weighing limit of 15 grams is separately engraved on this chart. A stripe per five grams is given. The M logo of Ph.J. Maul ia hardly recognizable at the black standard.
