LARGE LETTER SCALE

maker: Ph.J. MAUL
bruine lijn
large scale by Ph.J. Maul
scale with pan

This scale of Ph. J. Maul has the same tripod base as the model Fertig. The only difference is that here a threaded hole is made at the end of the middle leg, to place the zero leveling screw. The range of the scale shown is 0 - 500 grams. The weighing mechanism is made of brass. The vertical pole is made of steel, the tripod is of cast iron. The chart is also made of steel. This letter scale has a separate two-sided attached indicator strip. Most of the other letter scales possess a simple pointed indicator. This is made by twofold bending of a part, partly punched out of the vertical pole.
