bilateral letter scale | This bilateral letter scale looks to be derived from the somewhat older bilateral letter scale. The texts at the base show this letter scale was intended for the French speaking market. It reads Modèle Déposé and also Pèse-Lettres Bilateral. At the back of the standard are 4 patent numbers: OEST.P.1766, UNG.P.16742, and D.R.P. 112860.121631. The last is a junction of 2 patent numbers, namely D.R.P.112860 and D.R.P.121631. More detailed information is already given at the letter scale of Balduin Heller's Söhne. This scale was corroded heavily, the cleaning was done by sandblasting.
