The Incredible Egg Scale also named the Jiffy III egg scale

The design of this egg scale is made by Paul K. Boutiette from Manchaug in Massachusetts, U.S.A .. The design is protected with an American Design Patent US D569.751S on May 27, 2008. The patent application dates from May 18, 2007. The term of the patent is fourteen years. The nine patent figures represent the final egg scale well. Only the scale name stated on the patent drawings as Grade A Egg Scale has been changed to The Incredible Egg Scale. The egg scale is made for Fall Harvest Products. The distribution is done by other companies, for example by Kuhl Corporation and by Murray McMurray Hatchery. The brightly colored egg-shaped scale indicates the egg weights per piece and per dozen in ounces. In addition, there are five weight classes Peewee, Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large. The indication for the Jumbo weight class is missing. The scale also indicates the egg weights in grams and in the European egg weight classes S, M, L and XL.

The scale must be placed as horizontally as possible. The egg scale has an adjusting screw in the lower short lever to limit the range of movement and to weigh faster if required. The color of this egg scale is off-white. There is also a blue version supplied by Kuhl, see bottom right on the Jiffy-Way page, and I also saw a red version on the internet.
