the round Macito | This postal scale has the name Macito, this name is pressed into the lower end of the frontal plate. This trade name Macito was protected by Jakob Maul in 1932. This protection ended in 1973. The weighing range is 500 grams. For the first 100 grams each gram has an individual stripe on the chart. Above 100 grams a division into five grams is given. The first pictures show the de-rusted, refurbished and re-painted letter scale. Two distinct Macito models exist: the here presented round model and the angular model. The striped pattern of the frontal plate is also present on a smaller type letter scale of Jakob Maul with ornamental stripes. At the lower end of the page are some pictures of the originally purchased dirty and rusty letter scale. | rear of the scale |
