Melius letter scale with two weighing ranges | This letter scale also has the brand name Melius. The letter scale was made by the firm Konrad Burg Apparatebau, from Vienna in Austria. When I do not know. I have not been able to find the patent application. This model has two weighing ranges: optionally 300 grams or 1000 grams, depending on the position of the counterweight. The counterweight is held in the selected position by a tension spring. The 300 grams scale has a stripe per two grams. At the values 5 grams, 15 grams and so on, there is a dot on the scale. The 1000 grams scale has a stripe per ten grams. At the values 50, 150 and so on, there is a dot on the scale. The base of the Melius is aluminum. The movement frame is partly wide double made. There is also a version with a single weighing range of 250 grams, see here. Below some more pictures of this 300g/1000g Austrian letter scale. | back of the letter scale |
