Maximus 20 grams rocker | This precision letter mail weight limit meter is made by Philipp Jakob Maul from Hamburg in Germany. The green lacquered special Präzisions-Überporto-Waage (Surcharge Balance) is described in patent DE1650767U from 1953 and also in DE1649829U also from 1953. The scale was available with limit values of 15, 20 and 50g. The English advertising text also mentions the option of setting the weight limit in British ounces.
