Jakob Maul Bilateral letter scale

This Bilateral letter scale is made by the company Jakob Maul from Bad König-Zell in Germany. This model has already been shown in different versions and weighing ranges before, see 500g version, 250g version, 1000g version, 500g version, en deze modern 250g replica. The example shown here differs because it is largely chrome-plated. This letter scale has two scales, the lower one goes from 0 to 60 grams with one stripe per gram, and the top scale from 0 to 250 grams has stripes per five grams. The lower scale does have a lot of stripes. The scale has the JM logo of Jakob Maul. This logo was established and protected in 1912 and extended until 1983. The bottom is covered with a layer of fabric on cardboard, to prevent scratches on the surface.
The height of this letter scale is 16.5 centimeters. The base measures are 11.0 x 8.2 cm, the letter plate measures 9.0 x 7.7 cm.
