Novitus scale, maker Ph.J. Maul | Before this, a smaller specimen of the Novitus was presented already. The one shown here is the 1000 grams version. The NOVITUS is a pendulum scale. It is also named a quadrant scale with fixed chart. The plate is suited to place, hold and weigh cylindrical shaped tubes without accidentally rolling and falling down from it. This type of plate is also applied at the larger version of the model Excelsior of Ph.J. Maul. The chart has a stripe per five grams up to 1000 grams, in the upper section of the scale this is not readable anymore. The name Novitus is written in the bright enamel. Noteworthy, the movable feet are not shaped symmetrically. Below some more pictures of this letter scale.
