dietary scale SALTER No. 11D | The Salter No. 11D is a spring balance made specially for weighing food for diabetic patients. The housing is relatively lightweight because it's made of aluminum. Also the easy to lift round scale is made of aluminum. The black transport box was available for an additional price. This travel weighing scale for diabetics is already in the Salter catalog of 1928. It still is shown on pages of the 1939 catalog with a slight alteration: there the dial is double marked: 8 oz. subdivided per 1 dram and also -probably for people of the European continent- 220 grams subdivided per 2 grams. | the scale in it's own box |
