Salter no.11 letter scale

This Salter no. 11 letter scale was intended for the French-speaking Belgians. PÈSE LETTRES is French, meaning: letter scale. On the lower half of the dial is the Begian postal rate for letters:
                                                Interieur 10 c par 15 Gram
Hollande et Luxembourg 20 c par 15 Gram
                                                Union postale universelle
                                                25 c par 15 Gram.
Based on old Belgian postal rates this letter scale dates from the very short period May 1, 1875 - June 19 1876. More detailed information was presented in an article in Equilibrium 2008, No.2, pp. 3367-3368 written by me, André Sol: The Dating of a Particular Salter Letter Scale. Below on the dial is the characteristic logo of Salter. The scale house is made of cast iron. The brass dial shows stripes of measure per 15 grammes and one at 500 grammes.
Previously, other Salter No. 11 letter scales were shown, see this Dutry Colson or this No. 11 for further information and other links.
Below are more pictures of this old letter scale intended for use in French-speaking Belgium.
